benefit options to help you and your family protect your health, financial
security and quality of life.
HEALTH
Medical Plans
Don provides two medical plan options to our associates: the Exclusive Provider
Organization (EPO) plan in which care is coordinated through a primary care
physician and an Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plan in which
participants can choose service through an in-network or out-of-network
provider. Both medical plans include a prescription drug benefit with minimal
co-payments and a mail order maintenance feature.
Dental Plans
Don provides two dental plan options: a traditional dental plan which allows
you the flexibility to choose your dentist at the time of service and a dental
maintenance organization (DMO), which provides benefits at a higher level
through treatment from a network dentist.
FINANCIAL SECURITY
Credit Union
Don provides membership in a local credit union, which offers a variety of
banking services.
Disability Insurance
Don provides two income protection plan options for its associates. Associates
may purchase short term disability coverage, which provides a benefit of 60% of
compensation for up to 26 weeks and long term disability coverage, which
provides a benefit of 60% of compensation beginning with the 27th week of
disability to the end of the disability or up to age 65.
Employee Referral Program
Don recognizes that existing associates are an excellent source for employment
applicants. Associates are encouraged to refer qualified candidates for
employment opportunities. Associates will receive monetary rewards when they
refer an individual who is hired by the Company, if eligibility requirements
are met.
Flexible Spending
Accounts
Associates may deposit up to $1,000 on a annual pre-tax basis into a Healthcare
Spending Account to pay for eligible health, dental and vision care expenses
not covered by the benefit plan. Associates may also deposit between $2,500 to
$5,000 on an annual pre-tax basis into a Dependent Care Spending Account to pay
for childcare or eldercare expenses.
Life Insurance
Don provides each associate basic life insurance equivalent to 1 times base
salary rounded to the nearest multiple of $500. Associates may purchase
additional life insurance equal to 1, 2 or 3 times their annual base salary
subject to plan approval. Spousal and dependent coverage is also available.
Merchandise Discounts
Don provides associates the option to purchase merchandise within the Company's
portfolio at special discount prices.
Profit Sharing and 401(k)
Plan
Don provides associates the option to participate in its Comprehensive Profit
Sharing and Savings Plan after 3 months of service. Associates may choose to
invest from 1 to 17 % of their compensation in any of eleven different mutual
fund options including funds from Janus, Fidelity, Vanguard and more. Associate
contributions are matched $0.50 on the dollar up to an annual maximum.
Additionally, Don may make a profit sharing contribution to associates based on
profitability.
QUALITY OF LIFE
Holidays
Don provides paid time off for the following eight annual holidays:
New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day,
Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve Day,
and Christmas Day.
Leaves of Absence
Don provides associates a variety of leave of absence options, subject to
approval, to manage the unpredictable and challenging demands of life. Leave
options include, Family and Medical Leave, funeral leave, military leave, jury
duty leave and personal leave.
Care 24
Provides employees and family members confidential access to professional
counselors and specialists in various fields. Types of issues that this program
can assist employees with include alcohol or substance abuse, stress, legal or
financial issues, emotional, family or marital difficulties, childcare or
eldercare placement, school sources and consumer information.
Sick/Personal Days
Don provides each full-time and part-time hourly-paid associate five paid
sick/personal days each year. Unused days are paid out at the end of the year.
Tuition Reimbursement
Don provides up to $1,200 per year for approved undergraduate courses and up to
$1,500 per year for approved graduate courses. Reimbursement may be used for
tuition, books and fees.
